Discipleship

Next Steps

Grow in Christ Together

Discipleship helps believers strengthen their faith, grow in spiritual maturity, and build a lasting foundation in Christ. We believe discipleship plays an pivotal role in leading others to build their lives on God's Word.

Why is discipleship important?

In short, because Jesus commanded it! We have been called to go and make disciples of Jesus. Our model for discipleship is having those who are mature in their faith partner with other believers to help them grow, and so that eventually they can go and disciple someone else.

What is the difference between a life group and a shepherd group?

Life Groups are what we call our small (usually in-home) groups at BBC. These groups meet at least twice a month from fall through spring to study God’s word together and build relationships with one another. At BBC we also have Shepherd groups where our members and regular attenders are given one of our leadership as a “shepherd” to be another resource and partner in their walk with the Lord.

How and when can I join a discipleship group?

We have individuals around the church who would love to partner with you. You can contact our church office at any time if you are interested.

2 Timothy 2:2
And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
