Bethany Day Care

Administrative Staff

is the founder/administrator of the Bethany Day Care, with a background in business and education. She taught kindergarten for several years before the Center became too large to continue the dual position. She also serves as a founding board member of the Keystone Academy since 2002. She and her husband, John, have 5 children and 14 grandchildren.

plans daily programs for all preschool classes. With her Master's degree in Early Childhood (and ZA endorsement) she is well-suited to the task. She has been a member of the Executive Board of BDCC from its beginning in November of 1974. Kay taught preschool and elementary grades in both private and public schools for several years before taking over the preschool program at Bethany in 1988.

began working at Bethany as a senior in high school. After college days, she married John (son of the former pastor of Bethany Bible Church) and continued to work in the preschool and kindergarten while her children were very young. She teaches kindergarten along with her sister-in-law, Cherie today. John and Susette have 2 sons who are graduates of Wayne State, and a daughter attending there now.

also married a son of the former pastor (Kevin). As their children grew older, she worked part-time at the daycare, and eventually in the kindergarten program. Now, with two daughters having completed their college education (and married) and their son in his senior year at Wayne State, she teaches kindergarten as well as handling accounts receivable in the daycare office.
